Puliyogare

Ingredients:
Boiled Plain Rice - 2 cups
Thick tamarind juice - 1/4 cup
Ginger - 1"(finely chopped)
Red Chillies - 4
Peanuts/Cashewnuts - 10
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal - 2 tsps
Urad Dal - 2 tsps
Green Chillies - 6 (chopped long length wise)
Asafoetida/hing - 1pinche
Curry leaves - 2 stems
Salt to taste
Oil for seasoning.
Method:
Take the Boiled plain rice and allow it to cool (room temp).
Roast 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, little salt, 2 red chilies and grind into fine powder.keep aside.
Heat Oil in a tawa and add groundnuts/cashewnuts, chana dal, urad dal, remaining mustard seeds, cumin seeds, grated ginger, curry leaves and green chillies,red chillies, and hing.
Then add the turmeric powder, tamarind juice(according to ur taste) to the above seasoning.
When the tamarind paste cooks and leaves oil, add roasted ground mustard powder, salt and remove from heat.
Now add this mixture to plain rice.
serve with a cup of plain yogurt.
